The Urban Governance Research Network, UGoveRN, is an academic platform to build, share and communicate research activities in the field of urban governance and planning.

What is UGoveRN?

UGoveRN stands for Urban Governance Research Network and is an academic platform to build, share and communicate research activities in the field of urban governance and planning. Initiated by Prof. Dr. Tuna Tasan-Kok within the framework of Chair of Urban Governance and Planning at the University of Amsterdam, Centre for Urban Studies, the main aim of UGoveRN is to connect academics, practitioners and communities who work in the field of urban governance to create an interactive platform to discuss and collaborate on research.

What do UGoveRN research network members do?

UGoveRN members each belong to a research chapter, which are named after research fields in which UGoveRN members publish and collaborate. Each associate, network member and researcher is located within a research chapter. The current research chapters of UGoveRN are: The current field topics are Planning+Property, Law+Policy, and Space+Society.
