My research is focused on the collisions and interactions between private real estate development and urban planning, specializing in the realm of financial geography. I currently conduct research as both a practitioner for Multi Corporation, based in the Investment & Development team, as well as an academic for the UGovern platform. I investigate how concentrations of investment volumes in the commercial real estate sector impact how we plan, design, and develop the built environment in different cities and regions throughout Europe. Prior significant research I conducted was through a graduate dissertation Landscapes of Commodification that examined the evolution of high street retail real estate in Amsterdam, during the post-Global Financial Crisis (GFC) period through 2018. For my PhD, this topic has been scaled to examine urban mixed-used development projects in the commercial real estate sector that have attracted pronounced foreign and domestic investor capital in the post-GFC period..
